Take me out to the Ball game

This evening we took the kids out to the ball game.....and we had a really nice time. I love it when sweet memories are made and you don't even have to try really hard!

The ball park was only half full and we were above homeplate. The older girls took their cute selves down to the first row seats which were entirely empty and got to watch an inning there and taste the dust from the batters box. It was our middle daughter's blessing to be that up close and personal.

The kids had a very rare treat of a ring pop supplied by some over zealous Sunday school teachers who shall remain anonymous but who we think are trying to win the prize for being voted "Coolest Parents Ever". They got to indulge their sweet tooth at the ball game as we wiled away inning after inning.

The evening ended with a firework display. Sitting there with my family watching the fireworks was like a special prize. I am so blessed. Blessed to have such wonderful kids. Blessed to have such a handsome and loving husband. Blessed to live in a country free to celebrate a Sunday evening ballgame with fireworks and a young girl singing "God Bless America".

We sauntered out of the ball field lingering over the last drifts of smoke from the fireworks and said a final farewell to our summer. What a fitting end. What a great memory.
