It has been a trying few days. We are so comforted by all your prayers and support. We are praying that God would give us peace in a time when we feel grief and wisdom in a time when we are sorely lacking.

We did not get the fax from the parents regarding the test results. We are not surprised. We do hope that they will follow through come Monday.

The morning that this news broke to us I was awoken with this verse on my heart. I did not know how it applied for the day and still do not have understanding, but I find comfort in it all the same.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Later in the day a friend sent me this strong encouragement that I have tried to cling to instead of spin and worry.

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to
act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked
schemes. Psalm 37 v. 7

We have no legal claims over Sweetpea right now and have no power to move in her behalf. There is little we can do and yet the Lord of the universe cannot be thwarted by the plans and fears of men. So our hope and trust is safe in Him. We continue to place Sweetpea in His loving hands and wait for guidance as to what He would lead us to do next.
